"In a small town with only one grocery store, Dollar General is a lifesaver on many occasions when the alternative is closed. They have a decent assortment of grocery items and even refrigerated and frozen items as well. Sales are great and this is the time to stock up on those products you use on a regular basis. Prices usually beat the grocery store and Family Dollar stores. Downside is it appears that they can't keep any reliable employees to keep store stocked and you have to make your way around carts with boxes and stock. If you shop during busy times (Saturday) being main one...expect to wait in line to check out. If you can excuse these two things you will be doing all right! Good prices, good sales and friendly staff!"
