"Village camping ~ (mid summer 2021) We got lucky and were able to get a site from a no-show reservation. We paid $25 for our site. The campsite feels similar to a park with a oval map with a large grass field in the center. The sites were pretty close together but we made friends with our camping neighbors. The restrooms were very clean! Showers are available with quarter operation. We bought fire wood from the camp host. In the morning we see the for a swim in the river. The water was perfect temperature and fairly clean!"

"Very quiet and nice setting. Well keep up grounds, very nice restrooms. Power and water facuet close by. June visit had 2 day of mower noise, but nice weather. Easy drive to Oregon coast."

"Park hosts were wonderful, friendly, and did a beautiful job keeping the campground maintained and bathrooms clean! Close to several different hikes, including Mary’s Peak and Alsea Falls. Tent camping areas are pretty shaded, so pack layers! Trees in campsites 13-15 are perfect for setting up hammocks for camping or lounging! There is a cute, little trail leading to the river and leading to the boat ramp and front of park for a scenic walk. No cell service, so come prepared for that."

"This is a pretty great campground. The host was nice and laid back, but kept a clean and tidy space. The sites don't offer a lot of privacy but it's sort of made up for my the fact that it's not a very big campground. Great access for swimming and crawdad catching. No Verizon service anywhere nearby."

"Camp hostess was terrific! Bathrooms were so clean and wonderful. There were a lot of stinging nettles and 4 of us got stung. The swimming hole was amazing!! Great place, will definitely go back!!"
