"We always love coming here in the summer time when we can use the water feature. Only a 3 min drive from our place. It's tucked.back a little ways in a neighborhood but the neighborhood is quiet and nice, the people who come to the park are typically families and they are all very nice. It's just an all around fantastic place to take your kids"
"Awesome park, tucked away up in the hills. The playground overs some inventive climbing obstacles. The splash pad is so clean and perfect for a hot day. Plenty of parking. Picnic area is shaded and bathrooms are very clean and well kept."
"A great neighborhood walk for both sunrise and sunset. If you're passing through for lunch break there's also covered picnic areas next to the water feature. The bathrooms seem to get cleaned often. Playground has a ring of shrubs so kids don't easily wander away. Swings nearby comfortable for adults.. If I recall correctly, there is wifi here close to the bathrooms. Haven't used it personally, but cell reception here is very good. In the South corner of the field next to the trees is a labyrinth for contemplative meanderings.. the whole place is a labyrinth! The forest behind the bathrooms has a path where you can loop around the block for a longer walk. The field to the North is big enough for ball sports or laying under the moon on a warm summer night."
"Oh my gosh this park is *amazing*. Maybe the best playground (non massive) I've ever seen? You have to climb a rock wall to get up to the slides. Great swings with smooth soundless travel. There's a friggin LABYRINTH and dog park and cover spots and and and. So so good for kiddos! Thank you park managers. You're clearly doing an excellent job "
"Went to view this park this evening for a possible location for my daughter's 2nd birthday party and was more than impressed with the layout and cleanliness of this beautifully well-kept Park! I contacted West Linn Parks and Recreation to inquire about renting there Undercover sheltered area(as seen in one of the photos below) and unfortunately because of the short notice and needing to rent the shelter Within two weeks of contacting Parks and Rec, it has already been reserved and unfortunately is not available. However, the very nice and helpful woman who I spoke to recommended that I just bring my own tables and chairs and gazebo canopy tents and set up my own area in the park. Most parks do not recommend and offer this solution to you in due to they would rather collect the fee for renting their shelter on another day and this lady Not only was okay with this solution, but she is the one who brought the idea up to myself and recommended it. I had an extremely hard time finding a park that met the criteria I was looking for. I was looking for a park that had a playground, but that also had a splash pad. And to be even more particular, I was looking for a splash pad that was not a huge water attraction with super aggressive water do to my daughter being only 2 years old and being scared of the larger water attractions, but also I was looking for a park where the splash pad and playground where next to each other or at least close together so the parents at the birthday party could keep an eye on their children either way if they were playing on the splash pad or on the playground. A lot of parks do not offer both playgrounds and splash pads and if they do they are very few and far between and 90% of them are very far away from each other and you cannot see the playground from the water area or vice versa. Marylhurst Park was absolutely perfect! I'm so excited and can't wait to get home to put this address on the invitation as the place for the party next weekend. The splash pad and playground are right next to each other and are absolutely perfect. The splash pad has two different water attractions and the playground has swings that feature both regular and baby seats, a round trampoline spring, three different slides, and a very interesting climbing structure that fits children of all ages. There is also public restrooms less than 20 feet away from the playground and splash area. The park has lots of trees and as well shaded and there is even another sheltered area that you can rent out that is about a hundred feet away but unfortunately it is not in clear view of the playground and splash pad but would be great for someone to rent out to didn't need to keep an eye on little kiddos. All around this park is absolutely amazing and did I mention... It's in a beautiful and safe neighborhood and as I was parking there were neighbors who actually walked me to the splash pad and playground area to show me the parks features and explain to me that the neighborhood was very safe and was a fairly new built Park that did not get too crowded. Please excuse the pictures for being a little bit dark as the sun was setting as I was viewing the area. If you're looking for a park with shade, public restrooms, play area, splash pad, covered shelter with tables and benches available to rent, and a extremely clean and well-kept park... This is your place! Will post pictures next weekend showing the turnout of the party."
