"You’d be very very very lucky to get an agate over the size of a dime. That being said, i had more luck here than at Patrick’s point (i should’ve gone down farther there i think) and bagged five under a dime sized agates. I feel satisfied but the flies were constantly getting at my legs. Worth a visit but keep expectations low and go for the rocks up the high tide line"

"Perfect spot for an afternoon. We found some really beautiful rocks and it is so comfortable to sit and lay on the polished rocks. It was hard to leave."

"So beautiful, and we found lots of agates. Make sure and bring a bucket or bag and be ready to stay a while...agate hunting makes the time fly by. Beach is pet friendly with leash."

"Fantastic beach!! Loved hunting for agates with the whole family, listening to the waves and the birds. I climbed the rocks on the south side by myself, not safe for kids nearly slipped, and found a bunch of sea anemones and a large bed of muscles. We went three days in a row. The first two days were cold and windy so we had to cute it short. The last day we finally caught a warm breeze free moment so we all could finally really enjoy it."

"Agate Beach is a beautiful place to take a windy walk or watch a sunset. This is your classic southern Oregon coastline. The waves are large and powerful; not the place to take your children swimming. On a clear day you can see Cape Blanco to the north. Folks love to hunt for Agates here and even if you don't find many, you won't want to miss the natural beauty of this State Park."
