"Beautiful beach to walk, have a picnic or just sit and take in the beauty"
"Beautiful open fresh ocean air! Horse riding close. You can drive on beach. You can find cool things! Not overly packed with people. Very long beach. Will come back again."
"It was windy and wet while we were there. But not that cold. The waves were magnificent and the clouds ever shifting. We took our shoes off and luxuriated in the light sand. There wasn’t a lot of flotsam and jetsam from the storm. Barely a thing to pick up and wonder over. But that was OK because we were on to more adventures that day. I got to take my best friend from high school here, it was the first time that she got to see the ocean in person. She was giddy with delight and I don’t blame her."
"Make sure to check the Tide Tables!! This place is best enjoyed at low tide!! You can walk the 2.5 miles on the beach to the Nestucca River and back. There are tide pools at the very end where you can spot some sand dollars!! You may also see stone eagles if you're lucky!! The view of Chief Kiwanda Rock is spectacular and makes for a dramatic backdrop for your photos. Going in the off season has been great as the coast is packed in summer and during holidays."
