"I have had them work on my HVAC system they’ve been great. However, I requested them to come out to give me an estimate on a gas line to my kitchen stove. I made an appointment for an estimate no one showed so I had to call. Mike had forgot the appointment and came out 4 hours late. He indicated to us that he lost money on the last job and he would estimate us higher more to make up the difference. He verbally quoted us around $1,500 for the job. A week and a half later we received the actual estimate of $2,400. Of course I thought it was a typo so I called. No response for three days so I called the office to have him call me back directly. He finally did call me and indicated that there was extra work put into the order to make sure he didn’t lose money. But if it did take less time, he would charge less. When I ask why he gave us a different verbal quote, he didn’t have an answer. It is hard to trust someone when they just told us they lost money on a job and his padding the estimate by $1,000 over what they verbally told us."

"I needed a fan run capacitor for a very old RV rooftop A/C unit that had failed. None of the local RV stores would even try to look up the part without the model and serial number of the unit, which had faded away in the 34 years that unit has been up there. Because it is a common capacitor (according to Google), I figured it was also commonly used in household and/or commercial HVAC units, so I called Santiam Heating. The fellow that answered the phone just took the value and rating off of the old part (7.5 uF, 330V), went and looked and had it in stock. I just went and picked it up. It cost me a little more than if I had ordered it off of the internet. (I could have gotten it on Amazon even.) But, my A/C should be fixed in an hour or two, instead of waiting a week for shipping."

"Jordan and his team came through with a great installation. I'm sure every install is unique but for every challenge in this setting they resolved it with good questions for me and the hard work to make it right. They installed an AC unit to an existing furnace. And even helped with the thermostat I installed (not their responsibility). I recommend using them but especially hats off to Jordan and his team."

I was resigned to a big bill. But I had already scheduled Santiam to come by a couple of days later. I was late to the appointment and by the time I got there Jim Bean (Technician Extraordinaire) had fixed the problem (bad capacitor), washed out the cooling fins and vacuumed out the condensation pipe. Charged me $170.00. I have for sure have found an honest company and they have a loyal customer."
