"Horrible. He decided to RUIN my chances at getting SSI in Oregon because I did not believe in his cookie-cutter approach to my problems and he hated my self-treatment with cannabis. "Clean and sober" must mean you have the right to tell others how to live their lives, right Dave? I have mental health issues as well as spinal disease and now cancer as well. He partnered with a woman who ran a daycare center for mentally challenged folks across the street from his office and she was SMOKING METH in the basement of that house, where she lived. He conspired to LIE along with a certain Dr. Wimer of Coos Bay (who only saw me ONCE) and ruined my case with SSI in Oregon. I went to Washington state and was IMMEDIATELY approved, after meeting with VARIOUS PROFESSIONALLY LICENSED psychologists and psychiatrists that the State of Washington hired to make sure that I was NOT "faking it" to get benefits, as Mr. Bertapelle claimed. Thankfully, I also found wonderful counselors who helped me through my mental health issues, despite my setbacks with Mr. Bertapelle. A lawyer friend of mine told me I could have sued him for malpractice but I decided that for my own sanity, to let it go. But a chance to warn others possible victims via a review, I cannot let that chance pass. My reasons for posting this is to serve as a warning to others that you'll be fine with this guy as long as you don't really speak your mind to him and you just go along with whatever he says. Don't be honest with him because he will use it against you. I felt totally victimized by him by being honest with him and speaking my mind."
