"They took great care 9f our Miss Della."
"Closed because the vet had a heart operation and could not return to work"
"I think it's RIDICULOUS that you have to have your animal spayed or neutered in order to come to this vet. When he won't even talk to you the minute he knows your animal isn't spayed or neutered is just DISGUSTING!! How can you honestly have a compassion and love for animals if you are so heartless and cold when you have someone reach out to you when they have a sick animal. These animals may not mean anything to you, but these animals are the WORLD to another. I have no respect for ANY vet who can turn their back on an animal just because of that! Get another job! Our communities animals deserves so much better than someone as heartless as this vet!!! 1 star is too many"
"Be warned!! They discriminate against low income people. They made it very clear today that they need regular patronage or they didn't need my business. If you don't have money to pay for the vet to NOT treat your pet - on a regular basis - go elsewhere. Went there for years to get my dog chiropractic adjustments - $50 each, (monthly in the beginning,) vaccinations etc. Those adjustments were wonderful for my pet. But when it came to dealing with a hot spot type problem on my pups leg, I went 2 specific times to get it treated, buying the antibiotics and topical creams, and talked with the vet about it at another appointment where he did nothing. My pup has been suffering nearly 2 years, even with many home remedies I've told the vet about. Nothing the vet did worked. A lot of money and no progress. But I was willing to give it another go. 2021 devastated our health and our family. When I called to get my dog an appointment in 2022 (which was $200) the receptionist blamed me not coming in on a regular basis for the reason my dog still had the hot spot. She said I hadn't had him adjusted for 16months. I told her the adjustments weren't related to the hot spot. Told her about the terrible year, how I live below the poverty line but pay top dollar to care for my pets. She said I should've come in more often, for the chiropractor adjustments I went when needed. She felt i should've come more. So I asked her - since I've seen the vet 3 times for the hot spot - how many times did I need to come in to get it taken care of. All very civil & cordial. She said she felt I'd lost faith in the vet and should go elsewhere. I told her if I'd lost faith in the vet, I wouldn't be calling. She then told me I needed to go elsewhere. If you can't give them a regular payday - whether they treat your pet properly or not, they don't have time for you. She was judgemental, condescending and dismissive because I wasn't enough money for their clinic anymore and I actually expected my pet to get proper treatment. Unbelievably disappointed in this vet hospital."
"My husband and I have been bringing our dachshund to Dr. Kang for over a year now. He has helped us with our puppy in many ways. The service is outstanding and personal. He and his wife take the time to answer any questions and concerns about our dog. I never feel rushed. Phone calls and emails are answered almost immediately. Our dachshund LOVES going to the vet and it’s nice to have people that truly care about our pet. Rates are very reasonable and we know it’s not about making money as they truly care for your animal and want the best for them. You will not find a better place than Oakland Animal Hospital."
