About the Business

Newberg WIC

Newberg WIC is a health institution located at 2251 East Hancock Street in Newberg, Oregon, United States. Our program is designed for pregnant and postpartum individuals, infants, and children under 5 years old, providing access to healthy food through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC). Our office in Yamhill County offers nutrition guidance, breastfeeding consultations, and referrals to local healthcare and community services. We have multiple WIC offices in the county for easy access.

Our staff is bilingual and can arrange interpretation services at no charge for those who speak languages not spoken by our team, including American Sign Language. Guardians, such as non-birthing parents, grandparents, and foster parents, are welcome to apply for WIC services on behalf of those in their care. If you have any concerns about the quality or safety of your care, please let us know.

In addition, we stay updated on industry news and innovations, such as the Cures Act providing electronic access to health information and awards for excellence in breastfeeding support. We also monitor product recalls, such as the recent recall of Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare Powder Infant Formula. Visit Newberg WIC for comprehensive support and resources for your family's health and nutrition needs.

"When I was pregnant with my youngest child we had just moved to the area, I had 2 older children, was in between jobs, and my husband and I were both attending college. WIC helped us keep our children healthy and the people there really cared, and helped with formula when the baby was born."
