"Good place for viewing birds and water birds. Thought not terribly exciting, its close to town and a quiet place for a walk. Gunfire is all around due to hunters, perhaps bright colored clothing would be a good idea. Was surprised to see one needed to pay for parking with some sort of wild-lands permit, not sure what that's all about? There is wooden viewing platform that was fun, and evidence of critters, nutria, skunk along with the birding. Great place for hawks."
