Best Western Pier Point Inn

"I'll give service 3 stars for the breakfast staff being great. The room gets a 2 star for the door and floor moldings falling off, of have fallen off, and the room looking poorly prepared. Location is great for some purposes, less for others. We ( family of 4 w/2 small kids ) were given a room directly above what appeared to be a full time tenant, in the hotel (bbq, chairs, decorations set up in their balcony). They were blasting rap music and none stop drug use until about mid night. The drug use was inside and out side the unit, with the smell and smoke coming into our unit above. I called in to the office to ask them to cut it out, and they acted surprised, as it hadn't happened before or been reported, or as if they couldn't hear it. Other tenants in the hotel were yelling and cussing at them to get them to turn off the music from the point we got there, so I would assume it had been going on for a while. On the only bright side of things, breakfast was great, the dope smokers got a 6am wake up, and I won't be returning to this hotel."

"Our first impression of this hotel was walking into our room and realizing that someone (presumably an employee since we checked in at 415) had just been in there and used the bathroom to POOP! IT SMELLED SO BAD WE HAD TO LEAVE TO LET IT AIR OUT!! To be honest kinda ruined the room for me. Everyone else though was fine upon returning. Nice views with the view room. Decent place for the area. Needs some updates. Staff was nice, except the person who pooped in our room. GREAT FREE BREAKFAST!! You barely see hotels with such great full breakfasts any more and this one was truly one of the better I have seen in quite some time. We stayed on Saturday when they offer the most food. Overall I would have given 4 stars for hotels in this area. Part of me only wants to give 1 star because that was a terrible way to start a stay in a hotel. But 3 is fair considering. Not so sure about returning though."

"This is my favorite place to stay in Florence even though it's not on the beach. It's on the river/bay and it's lovely. You pay a little extra for the unobstructed view but it's worth the $10 bucks or so. There's a big free breakfast if you're into that and the rooms are very nice. There's some refreshing that could be done here and there but the place is clean and the bed is comfy. I also think the more expensive room is a little quieter. The staff is friendly and the location is beautiful."

"After driving 4 hours for a room that I had reserved they were unable to accommodate the room. No where online mentioned anything about reservations with a CC. The amount due I had in cash and they were unable to accept payment at time of arrival. We ended up without a room. The front desk staff were rude and unable to accommodate or would work with a paying customer. Especially the lady that calls herself the manager. Whatever happened to good customer service!? Even if I did have payment with a Credit card after the way we were treated after a very long drive I wouldn't stay here. Ended up at a much nicer hotel and better customer service that wanted to accept my money. Beware! Terrible service."

"This was a great stop on our drive down the Oregon coast. They have some pet friendly rooms (including pet towels available at the front desk.) We sooo appreciate that they take dogs and cats. Our room was comfortable and had a nice view. The shower was very good with great water pressure. The service at the front desk was very friendly. I never expect a free breakfast to be any good but here they have a custom omelette station! My omelette was so good and the service so friendly! I would stay here again anytime!"
