"I sure love the white world of snow and ice in Eugene even though it has been very sliding everywhere. After stayed home for 2 days, today, I decided to go to 5th Street market to have some fun. I went into "Made in Oregon" store -I was happy it was open! A pair of earrings caught my attention right away. Two small pink stone balls hanging in one golden ring. It was $28, ok quality but look cute. I have never wore this kind of shape of earrings before. When I asked where I could try them on, I was told by the lady there I was not allowed to try it due to hygienic reasons! I asked her:" don't you have alcohol wipes?!" She didn't give me a clear answer. I told her " if I don't try them ,it is hard for me to tell if they match my face". I couldn't buy something I am not sure whether or not it fits me. It is disappointing. I left the store. I told the lady there I don't necessarily to try her earrings even though I really like them when I saw them. Based on my experiences in Oregon and other part of the world, people try earrings on before they make a purchase. I bought a couple of rings and a pair of earrings in the jewelry store NEXT to this " Made in Oregon" store last year. People there let me try their jewelry without any problem. I couldn't think out a reason why I was not allowed to try the earrings on there. I wonder maybe because of I am an ASIAN??? I hope not, since discrimination is not the spirit of Oregon!"

"High prices, you can do better at Holiday Market in winter or Saturday Market in summer. If you are in need of a gift from Oregon, sometimes it's the only option."

"Love this place! So many fun Oregon things. Forgot my water bottle at home and was able to get a beautiful new one with some fun stickers! Everything (I believe) is locally sourced!"

"Brought my out of state family here to visit. If you want to get any State of Oregon items here's the place! They have choice of wines, jams, chocolates, nuts, gummies but also have the typical magnets, keychains, postcards, cups, t-shirts, and sweaters. Nice area but can be difficult to find parking."
