"I've been buying wood and hardware here for years, but can no longer. They've recently changed to a system where items are marked with barcodes, but NO PRICE. The last couple times in the store, I've had to take up an armful of items just to see how much they cost, and decide at the register whether I want to buy them. Then, just a couple days ago, I got a box of screws that cost over $100 that they've been charging $65 for for years. No price on the box, just had to find out at the register. I know the supply chains are struggling and all that, but I looked it up on Amazon and the same item and size (by a different manufacturer) was $54. I certainly prefer to buy locally if I can, but that kind of discrepancy can't be overlooked. I know there are a lot of contractors that buy there - and can just pass on the costs to whoever they're working for. I'm guessing that's the clientele they want to focus on, and the rest of us can take it or leave it. I'm going to have to leave it."
