"I visited with a friend, and it is a nice, small market that has a lot of things one would need. I appreciate the kindness of the owners. The only thing is that it would be nice if the items were priced"

"My phone says I haven't been here in 9 years. There's a reason for that. The floors in every aisle were stacked with stock and there was no walking room ever. The last time I was in there I stumbled on boxes in the aisle and fell into a rolling rack. It was all I could do to not fall down. I barely caught my balance. I told the husband and wife owners about what happened but they were too busy arguing to care. Additionally my ex husband used to take control of my food stamp card and he would buy beer and cigarettes with it. My husband told me they did it for a lot of people. I never had evidence or I would have reported them to DHS as an illegal collector of food stamps to pay for his beer and cigarettes, daily at times. I finally put my foot down with my l husband and said, Absolutely no more buying beer and cigarettes with it. It seemed to change things but he still kept control of my food stamp card in my name only for 14 years. I divorced him. But the owners John and Jen were doing shady business in order to line their pockets and feed their hard drug addictions. That is why she sleeps on the counter. She talks and acts like she's high on heroin, barely able to stay awake. I don't know this to be a FACT but other people have noticed it too. Sadly John is deceased after a tragic accident. But I will never give Jen my money again. Especially since they expressed no concern that I almost fell hard, and was already physically disabled before I was a customer, because of her cluttered store. If anyone has evidence of her selling non-food items on food stamps they should report it to DHS and get her store taken off the list of food stamp item sales permanently. Horrible misuse of government funds that are meant to feed the needy"

"Kind of old school. Also not sure I'd let me kids go there alone. The outside near the front entry area is always a mess."

"Jenny is always super nice. If she doesn't have what your looking for let her know she'll probably start stocking it for you."

"It is what it is.. You don't stop for food. If you want cigs, soda, ice, beer etc.. She has it. She is a character, has "on" days and "off" days. That is part of the fun of it! It is exactly what you expect in area with lots of low income apartments. BUT still handy to grab some ice/drinks on your way to the boat dock."
