"A beautiful beach. Usually not very busy. Nice place to play in any season. Fun in the summer to relax and play. It is important to stay alert for cars because sometimes people drive recklessly fast and don't seem to be watching for children or pets."
"Wide open spaces. Just find your own little space and call it yours. We didn't experience anyone speeding down the beach but still be cautious with kids. Kids had a blast. There's just something about being able to drive on the beach."
"Quiet, clean beach. Pretty close to Seaside, but none of the crowds. We played in the sand and waded in the surf for a long time. The parking lot is a 10 minute walk from the beach. Dogs are welcome, and abound. I wish there were a spot with some picnic tables, or some other functional space."
"Great place to get out and drive the beach! East main road access to the beach. Drop it in 4hi. Have some fun. Drove up the beach passed some wild sea lions just hanging out on the beach. Not too crowded either. Honestly I didn’t even know you could drive on Oregon beaches so it was a pleasant surprise."
"This place spans roughly 14.6 miles that you can actually drive your vehicle on. If you plan to do this, please be aware of how to drive in sand. Air tires down, don’t park where your vehicle starts to sink, watch out for obstacles, people and animals. Speed limit is 25mph but I usually go slower to enjoy the view. During high tide the water comes up high enough that portions of the beach are impassable by car. Recommend 4x4 with recovery straps and shovels. If you get stuck most people will stop to assist you and their are also the Son’s of Beaches that roam the area to help stuck vehicles. Aside from that it’s a wonderful place to check out the ocean and have a nice little fire. Be careful in the water and know your limits. Also check out the ship wreck down by Fort Stevens.
