"i've lived up here in astoria now for 2 years... i've mostly enjoyed my visits to bach-n-rock. i've attempted to steer business tim's way and have always had a pleasant banter during my visits. tim repaired a trombone for me - did an AWESOME job! he's really knowledgeable about music in general and good at instrument repair... b-n-r is like a time-capsule and a wonderful musical gem. i appreciate tim's business and will always come back! :)"

"I'm a brass musician, and I stumbled onto this business recently. Damn, it's like a candy store for wind musicians! The absolute best collection of musical instruments I've ever seen. The owner is a very skilled repairman, and has done wonders restoring old horns. I could spend ALL my money at this place. I'm planning on returning to get fitted for a better trumpet mouthpiece."

"This store is beautiful and it has an impressive collection of musical instruments, records and tapes. I love its quirkiness and I also noticed the owner seems to be an animal lover. I really have no complaints about this hidden gem except for the fact that the man who works in the store is very off putting. I’m not sure if he is the owner or not. Throughout the entire time I was in there he completely ignored me. He didn’t say one word to me not even as I said goodbye and thank you on my way out. I felt very unwelcome in his presence. Almost like he was annoyed I was even in the store! It’s unfortunate because I really enjoyed the store itself."
