"When I first arrived no one would serve me for like half an hour and eventually skipped over me... when I finally asked some Anorexic lady in red n black with long straight black hair told me it was because I had a dog. Then stomped on my dogs foot so... yeah not too happy with this place unless the owner gets rid of that person. I had been there for a good two hours prior to her revealing why she wouldn't serve me with zero issues even though I let go the fact I wasn't being served. To be honest I've never felt so much disrespect to me and my service dog"
"Chris was the friendliest and most hospitable server we had during our entire stay in Eugene. He gave us great tips about exploring the area and what to expect if we potentially move to the area. Very cool and classic pub feel. Taps were fresh. The cook came out to talk to me and accommodate for my gluten free restrictions."
"I've heard stories about Max's "in the old days" from my boyfriend who was a regular there for years when he lived in town. Actually, I probably shouldn't mention any of those stories... but the Max's that I've had the delight of visiting twice now, and hopefully many more times, is lovely. It's the perfect combination of upscale dive bar that is welcoming in every way. The free popcorn gives me small town vibes, and warms my heart even more than the large pours of vodka. There's parking in the back, which is so rare for most bars and much appreciated when you're just popping in for a quick one before meeting the parents."
"This is my favorite bar. The people here are friendly. Heard the place got remodeled and I was really concerned. Just came by today for the first time in years, and thankfully it's the same vibe as always. Glad to see the chess table and string lights made it through the remodel! Cheers to another 100 years of beers at Max's!"
"Barefoot Randall plays every other Wednesday, to the delight of his fans, new and old. There's a full bar, drink specials, and bowls of delicious popcorn to enjoy at this historic campus bar where you can play a game of pool, then smoke one on the back porch with the other hoods."
