"Stopped in as a party of 6. Had some pleasant interactions with our waitress who seemed to be on top of things. I ordered the "House Specialty". A Chicken Fried Steak Dinner for $15.95! Imagine my surprise when the "House Specialty" turned out to be a small, flash frozen, fresh off the truck microwaved piece of leather that was not fit for a $3.00 sandwich. I POLITELY asked the waitress if it was frozen, and she admitted it was. I handed it back to her and informed that I was not going to pay $15.95 for a flash frozen meal. She asked if I wanted anything else and I declined saying, "Sorry but once bit twice shy". She took it away and soon returned with the rest of the parties' orders. She then launched proceeded to launch into a tearful tirade in front of the few customers that were there about how I had no right to talk to her like that (I was very polite and cordial considering the circumstances) or raise my voice to her which I did not. I let her go on for awhile but finally enough was enough and I did raise my voice and told her to $%&# off and leave us alone. At that point the cook came storming out of the kitchen acting like a tough guy looking for a fight and demanded to know who was talking to her that way. I stood up and said it was me and told him he should learn how to cook and stop using a microwave. He ordered us to get out and not come back which I assured him....in no uncertain terms....was not a problem. We all got up and left and glad we did. I see that this place is up for sale and I guess I know why. The only recommendation I have is to avoid this place at all costs."

"1st time there. Heard about how good their chicken fried steak was and had to try. Waitress apologized cause she had just taken a order of 15 guests and said it would be a little delay. But it was actually no longer than a lot of restaurants I've gone to. Didn't matter though. It was definitely worth the wait. Eggs done perfectly and steak was easy to cut with a fork. And the gravy was perfect also. Definitely coming back. I'm 75 and chicken fried steak is my favorite breakfast meal and I'm from Illinois originally and it was the best since I moved to Oregon 2 years ago. Thanks again Dishners"

"DON'T EAT HERE! My wife and I ate at Dishner's with a friend on Saturday, 11/18/2023 at shortly after 8:00 am. I ordered biscuits and gravy with two poached eggs. I took a few bites. What I initially thought was water in the poached eggs was actually uncooked egg white. The biscuits were cold and burned on the bottom. (not fresh baked) Also, the food was room temperature. My wife ordered a ham and cheese omelet, it was dry and she ate less than half. Our friend ordered a peach pancake with whipped cream on top. Our friend ate about half and none of the peach. It is current about 23hrs later and my stomach is still not right. I've had explosive, please stand back for your own safety, gas. And, I'm still burping up a rotten egg taste. Fact: I rarely burp. I thought it was odd Dishner's Fine Foods was never more than half full while we were there. In the past, it was always packed and seating often required a bit of a wait. Lament: I've survived bad food before and am sure this to shall past, literally."

"The waitresses are friendly and sweet, excellent service, and their recommendations are great. The food is SO much better than Kozy kitchen. In fact, whoever the cook is makes their food just right and has taste! The pumpkin pancakes are really amazing! They have a lot of flavor, made with perfection. Excellent restaurant!"

"Fantastic hot roast beef dinner. Could not ask for better flavor. Staff was friendly and courteous. It's an older style restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside. Downside to this restaurant is that it appears to me to be a refurbished gas station with the restroom outside of the restaurant. They were clean for the most part, but not what they should be. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for the food at a competitive price."
