Zola's on the Water

"We came to Zola’s after it was highly recommended by family, and we were extremely disappointed in the service and the food. We waited for 2 hours to get our food, the waiter never refilled our drinks or even checked on us. After the first hour and a half the appetizer finally came, wordlessly from a different server, all while the table beside us who came in half an hour after us had already received their food and finished it. Once we hit the two hour mark my mother called over the server and asked when our food would be ready, he had said that he thought it was already brought out and immediately went to the manager. About 10 minutes later the manager explained that the “ticket was accidentally cleared” and he thankfully comped the meal and boxed it up. Thankfully until we got back to our room to eat and the food was awful. My mom and I got the specials, her pasta had almost no sauce, was missing the bread, and had a minuscule amount of meat that was exceedingly salty. My meal was a burnt, fatty, oily, and super salty mess. The only good food was my grandmother’s smash burger. All but hers was so bad that we couldn’t finish it, never EVER coming back here again. I couldn’t imagine worse service and food."

"We went to Zolas for the first time and absolutely loved it. It was a great atmosphere. They had so many different things on the menu. We ordered their tomato soup in a bowl. We shared it, and we absolutely loved it. It was homemade and tasted so good. We had margaritas, which were the special that night, and they tasted outstanding. We also ordered one of their pizzas. The crest was nice and crispy nicely done. We absolutely enjoyed our evening. The service was outstanding. Thank you, Zolas, for a great date night. I cannot wait to get back to this place and try some more of their different dishes."

"A waitress greeted us as we walked in and seated us in a nice spot. The place was almost packed, but we were lucky it was just the 2 of us. Since we already knew what we wanted, it didn't take us long to order. Arnold was our server, and he was super friendly. We told him we just wanted a Mediterranean Veggie pizza. It took about 20 min. to get our pizza... But that's ok, we weren't in a hurry and we knew it was busy time. Arnold, brought the pizza out and we were in heaven. The pizza tasted soOoOOOoo good. Glad to have a good pizza joint in Brookings. Arnold was pretty awesome too!!! Give that guy a raise!!!"

"During the pandemic, we have ordered Zola's pizza delivered to our hotel. We loved the pies and the ocean views! This trip, we visited Zola's for the first time and had a blast. The staff are friendly and very helpful, making the ordering process a snap. The pie we had was amazing. We even tried a new menu offering that included "hot honey". What a treat. The crust is something I could live on, since I'm a dedicated glutton-for-gluten. The beer selection is great and the menu offers tons of other offerings, as well. If you haven't hit Zola's when going through Harbor or Brookings, you really need to. For us, Zola's is a destination worth the trip!"

"This place is amazing! Delicious food good beer and an outside dog's welcome area. I come back every time I'm in Brookings."
