"Great looking covered bridge just off the highway. Well maintained and historic. Easy access, and also a lovely spot for a refreshing dip in the calm, shallow river. We saw many folks enjoying the cool water and enjoyable for us to hear their laughter. Certainly worth the stop"

"Nice spot with access to Siuslaw River and Wildcat Creek. You need a Lane county parks pass or need to pay $5 to park. Please respect area and pick up after yourself. If you see garbage help pick it up. Preserve these places for future generations."

"I absolutely adore this place, especially since I grew up nearby. If you happen to be in the area, be sure to check out the portapotty and boat ramp on the other side of the bridge. It's definitely worth a stop. However, it's important to be aware that there can be some territorial locals around. While it's rare and only affects a small percentage of people, it only takes one person to spoil the fun. Unfortunately, during my last visit, a local became very aggressive towards me. He drove up and started doing donuts, spraying gravel all over my vehicle. Even though I didn't see any chips, I could definitely hear them hitting the metal. He and his friend seemed to be out for target shooting or other activities, but it was definitely a clear sign to leave. It's a shame that this happened, especially since I have such fond childhood memories of this place. However, it's probably best not to risk encountering any more unpleasant situations and avoid going back in the future."

"Great crawdad fishing in a good shallow spot so the kids easily were able to get in on the fun. We went really early in the morning so the water was almost a bit too cold for us to handle. But the crawdads were active, and no crowds of people to deal with. Easy quick drive from the Eugene/Springfield area."
