"The Chalet is our favorite restaurant for breakfast in Newport. They have an extensive menu, impressive display of desserts, and excellent wait staff. This is a casual restaurant with plenty of seating. They are popular, so there is often a wait. It doesn't usually take long before a seat becomes available though. I love ordering their biscuits and gravy with strips of bacon. It is delicious! I also recommend their blueberry crumble coffee cake. We purchase one on occasion to take home. They do have other menu options that are just as wonderful, but my favorite is the biscuits & gravy. I highly recommend having breakfast at the Chalet."
"15 years ago, my wife and I stumbled upon this place and it was absolutely perfect. We were newly married then and this time we came back to Newport with our 4 kids and knew we had to come here. We were not disappointed with the food, friendliness of the staff, the environment or affordability. 10/10 recommend!!! And btw, this coconut pie is freaking amazing. They must put some kind of secret ingredient in the pies because nothing else compares."

"If you are celiac level gluten-free, this is a Restaurant I would recommend. The amount of options they had was really great for a normal restaurant. Plus they have an entire section just devoted to gluten-free take-home items. Their gluten-free pancakes were OK they make them in house and the recipe definitely needs some work before I would recommend them. However, this is still a really good restaurant. Our family really likes to eat at when we are down on the coast. I would definitely recommend you drop by."
