"Going to Canby Family Dental for my twice yearly check-ups/cleanings is always a positive experience. All the hygienists I’ve had have been competent, friendly and efficient. I usually see Doctor Kay, who is a delightful and skilled dentist, and her husband, Doctor Chris Lee is equally so. I appreciate their reasonable dental insurance plan which also provides a 20% discount on any dental work."

"Canby Family Dental has always been an excellent place for me and my family. They are all so friendly and caring! I recently had a dental emergency and they had me in that morning and fixed the issue, making me feel comfortable and cared for the entire time. I was even called after hours to make sure I was doing ok. Both of the dentists, husband and wife, have been thorough and professional, adding their friendly special touch, as well as all of the employees. I would highly recommend Canby Family Dental to anyone."

"First off I want to start with the positive. All the dental hygienist I've had were amazing. The negative out weighs the positive. I want to start off by there is no privacy, you can hear patients calls in the waiting area ( name, appointment date, etc.), I recall the day of my appointment in first week of October 2022. A patient called for random charges, they were told they were not sure why, and there has been a change of staff. That should have been my warning but having been a patient for some time with no issues I did not think much about it. Come December I get an unexpected bill for the charge of $757.24.The day of my appointment I paid $520.88 for Wisdom tooth removal. I was then given an appointment for after wisdom cleaning. I asked how much was that visit going to cost I was told $0. Again, I asked on the day of cleaning was told 0. So, they added another cleaning for the left side and was told 0 again and that it was apart of the extraction care. Now I am being billed for these cleanings (62.20 per my insurance per two visits is 124.40) that I was told had no charge. If you are in the Military avoid this place because they need more training in how the insurance works. The service member is covered and all appointments must be approved prior to appointment date. Each time they mentioned his appointment was approved and he scheduled. Now we are told he has a pending charge. Anyways with United Concordia tricare an in network dentist have maximum allowable charges for services. The in network dentist is not not allowed to "BILL" you for their standard charges and the negotiation fees. The remaining they are able to write off per my insurance. They charged my insurance $2,480.00 but the allowable amount per their agreement was $1554.13. The insurance paid $925.87 leaving a total of $600.24 just for wisdom teeth removal. Having paid 520.88 in person the day of service my remaining balance should be $79.36 Yet I am still being charged $600.24. See attached chat transcript with insurance. If you look at my picture for date 10/4/2022 Fillings I paid $160.10 (out of pocket) per my insurance they were only suppose to charge me a total amount of $77.54 so it appears they overcharged me for this appointment. For date 10/6/2022 (Wisdom teeth removal) I paid $520.88 per my insurance I was suppose to be charged $600.24. The dental office is charging me 600.24 although having already paid 520.88. Meaning they are charging me $1,180.46 plus the $953.89 my insurance paid totaling to $2,134.35 over the allowable limit of $1554.13. The day I received this surprise bill we called and were told they will call us back the next day. They did not, we called for a week straight and constantly given the run around. My insurance called and they said they will fix it and let us know. Which was the same run around we were given. Cancelled all upcoming appointments. I called and asked about how to pay whatever is old and she said we have pending claims. Per my insurance they have already been paid when I made mention of that she said they were for my husband. My husband is an active service member and his dental work should have no charge. Which was made mention and explained to by the insurance a year ago. Before choosing this dental office we asked if they has experience in working military and how the insurance works they said yes. His first appointment he was being charged and the insurance had to walk them through how to properly file his claims and what forms to fill. Anyways this is a great place if you want surprise bills. Please see attached pictures for reference and as proof."
