Village Creek State Park

"Village Creek State Park is one of the most beautiful state parks in the area! We visited to get an idea for a planned camping trip for my church Royal Rangers class and I was very impressed with the park. Their picnic areas are very nice with a few amenities in the park. They have an area for RVs and primitive camping as well. They also have an area for fishing and swimming. There is so much nature to see when you visit. I highly recommend this state park for your next camping trip."

"Very nice park with super friendly staff, nice trails, and camping. We had no trouble getting into our site but they are a little close. Could barely let out the awning. We don’t have slides but I could see that being a problem in our specific site. With the stair step sites you feel closer to other sites than you are. Overall, though it’s a great park and campground with lots to do within driving distance."

"Stayed in the campground for 2 weeks. We enjoyed our stay overall but took one stay away because the sites are so close together. The way they are staggered there is no privacy outside of your rig. When we opened our door the fireplace & picnic table of the space next to us were right there. The same for ours with the camper behind us. The trails were nice & the staff was super friendly & helpful! The bathrooms were the best we have seen in our travels! Flush toilets that were always clean & always stocked. Showers were spacious, clean & had plenty of hooks for your stuff. Water got hot quickly & stayed hot. Not the fault of the park, but the weekends get busy. The 2nd weekend we were there, a bunch of young girls were camping in tents. There were no adults supervising in the bathrooms & they were in there making a giant mess & literally screaming. They were having a contest to see who could be the highest pitch, they said that, “let’s see who can get the highest.” So beware, once the rangers leave there is no one to handle anything."

"There is so much to explore here! Very helpful and nice park rangers that are happy to answer any questions you have. Plenty of public facilities like sleep cabins, restrooms, and camp grounds. There is a swimming hole and a place to kayak, but beware of gators ( though I hear they are a rare sight)."

"Really cute small State Park. Primitive campsites a bit of a walk from parking on a sandy trail. Little bit of challenge if you have bad ankles or mobility problems. Electric/water/rv sites are not spacious to sides of drive, but do go back behind drive. Some screening from neighbors but not alot. May be issue if camping with dogs. Look at pictures on park website I didn't explain well. Bathroom was clean. Swimming area is down a trail that is marked as challenging, I didn't walk it. Lots of walking & biking trails. Was there on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn't busy."
