Help!! Air Conditioning

"I called to schedule an appointment because my AC unit's display indicated that it needed its annual maintenance. I communicated exactly that on the phone call and booked an appointment 2 weeks later. They sent me a contract for 2 Seasonal Checks, which I've done with other companies in the past to get bi-annual routine maintenance on my HVAC unit, and scheduled the appointment between 2:00-4:00. The technician showed up late at 4:30 without any communication and only checked my heater, but not my AC. I told him that I booked an appointment to have my AC serviced on account of the message on the touch screen and he told me to call the office because he was only there to check the heater... a service I didn't need nor ask for. When I called the office I was told that for the 2 Seasonal Checks I signed up for, they service the heater in the Fall and AC in the Spring. The contract I signed does not specify that they only do one or the other, and I still can't comprehend why they would have signed me up for heater maintenance when I was specifically calling about my AC. Huge waste of time and very unprofessional."

"Chill out and learn not to sweat when a AC system goes down! I panicked when my central system failed on Wednesday evening. My guests were scheduled to arrive on Friday and although I have a maintenance plan this is New Orleans and nothing moves quickly. The answering service was responsive but my fears did not fade. By 7:30 am the dispatch for Help AC called to notify that a technician would be arriving after 2 pm. I felt better but parts and timing were still an unknown. By 3pm the technician had not arrived. By 7 pm I had given up hope in spite of the dispatcher confirming there was still a chance. The scheduled tech suffered heat exhaustion and had ended their day early. But Kieth proudly called at 8 pm to say he was driving from Kenner to Bywater and would be a beacon of their brand HELP. AC. By 9:15pm Keith rolled out of the driveway and my system was running as it should. My guests will arrive today no wiser of the drama and my consternation over a potential Host nightmare! Cool your heels and know that Kenny and his team geaux beyond the norm to accommodate their clients. FYI highly recommend the annual plan for savings on parts labor and the best service in NOLA!"

"Beware! We have been using Help! as our service provider for a few years. They also do the regular servicing of our AC unit. Our AC went out in July. They came 24 hours later to check on it (soonest they could come) and they charged me $300 to do something with the compressor and told me it had to be replaced immediately, that it would not make it until end of summer. I had a second opinion come out. they were horrified, the AC unit just needed a simple cleaning. They were astonished Help! did not do it while they were here. Additionally, the estimate Help! gave me was almost $3k more than what they said we need for the house. Honestly, I could understand some random company trying to rip us off, but as our service provider, someone we have a relationship with... I expect better."

"Stop Looking for AC Contractors, You have found the best with Help AC! Trying to find a AC contractor is a grueling task to replace your AC. I received 3 quotes. The reason I went with AC is because Mr. Kenny gave me the most comprehensive analysis of my situation. Mr. Kenny knew so much more than the other contractors that came to my house for quotes. He knew how to deal with an old New Orleans house that only comes with decades of experience. Moreover, he did not try to sell me the most expensive system but tailored the new unit to fit my needs. I have historic home and getting in and out of the craw space to remove and replace the duct work was not easy. Help AC had an awesome crew that were exceptionally professional. Brandon, the main tech, was knowledgeable and approached each challenge with a cool determination. Most importantly, my house feels 100% better than before they replaced my unit. Any question I have had since the installation have been answered within the same business day. I am truly blessed to have found Help AC!"
