"One of the ladies at the front was super sweet but whoever the blonde lady who came out, guessing it was the seamstress/tailor was not. She very rudely told me they aren't taking wedding dresses anymore. Luckily I found a freelancer to take me who is very kind to her customers."

"I'm so grateful for Alterations Plus! I am a recent newcomer to Lake Charles, although my husband is from here. I needed my wedding dress hemmed because it was so long, and I'm short. We were having a beach ceremony, so I needed someone to hem it shorter so I wasn't dragging it through the sand. The first place I took it to held onto it for 3 weeks, then let me know that the lady who picks up the items for alterations is unable to do it because she doesn't do wedding dresses. By that time, I was frantic. It was two weeks before I was supposed to leave for Key West. I looked up local places, which many will not alter a wedding dress. I brought it by Alterations Plus and anxiously explained my situation. They were so friendly and understanding. They agreed, made sure they understood what I was wanting, told me the price which was more than reasonable (especially with the time crunch) and they called me to let me know that it was ready for pick up 5 days before we were supposed to leave. It was perfect! It was exactly what I was hoping for! I definitely recommend their services!"

"I paid $80 to have my bride’s made dress altered. The sleeves were sewn on the dress to secure the dress sleeve and keep the dress from falling down. After receiving the dress back- and not even wearing the dress for less than 5 minutes and already one of the sleeves popped off. A waste of $80 for poor quality craftsmanship. Seriously though like maybe some better quality thicker thread ? for the money I’m paying for two little sleeves… Keep in mind I’m not doing much movement in a dress like this… Unfortunately this was right before the wedding so I had to Jimmie rig my dress last minute."

"Brought a jacket into this business establishment to have some work done. The person who assisted me, Joe (co-owner) was rude and supercilious. First of all, I needed to speak to the seamstress to let her know exactly what I wanted done to my jacket, but he insisted on helping me. Then, when I started telling him exactly what I wanted done, he said he'd take care of it. Oh, by the way, if you're going in there for any other reason than to buy a Luxury Suit, then they treat you very different. Believe me, I'll never spend another dollar at this place. There are plenty of other business establishments in the area that do alterations work."

"They sewed on the patches and soutache braid on my Army ASU coat and the yellow NCO stripe on my pants. This was the 2nd time that I've brought in a military uniform and they've done great work both times."
