"On Saturday I called asking if they could repair a hand which had fallen off. The guy told me he could take a look and could possibly repair it while I waited for around $20, but he would need to see the watch to be certain. I went to the shop, when I was greeted at the door, I told them I had had called earlier about a broken hand. They remembered me, asked to see the watch, handled it with care and respect, and took it to the back. Soon after, the man returned and said that the repair would take 15-20 minutes and that I was welcome to wait. I was happy to hear the news, and told them to repair it. While my watch was being assessed and repaired, I had the chance to peruse the shop. They had a fine selection of mens and ladies Seiko watches. In addition to these, they had a fine selection of vintage watches. For some, this might seem unusual, but as a "watch guy" this is something I LOVE to see! It meant that the specialist repairing my watch knew the history and repair of these classics. If you are able to repair a wind-up from the golden age of watches, I can trust you to service and repair my modern automatic. When I asked to see one of their vintage offerings, I took off my Seiko 5 (prompting an entire conversation) and was allowed to examine, try on, and appreciate the by-gone era craftsmanship. It was well-priced, but I am not in the market (just yet!) for my next watch. I felt welcomed, appreciated, and (this is important!) more than a sale. After I tried a few vintage watches on, and wrestled down the desire to purchase, another customer came in. She was greeted and needed help with a watch which had stopped running. She was told that it may just need a new battery and that they would happily put one in to see if that would solve the issue. It did and the customer walked out amazed that it handled so easily. She was very grateful, and I was happy to see someone regain such happiness from the return of an old friend. Around this time, my watch was finished and brought out for review. Before presenting, the technician set the date and time on my watch. It was running beautifully and the hand had been reinstalled. I checked the movement to ensure it worked properly and was delighted to see my watch running properly. For $20. Amazing! I decided to try out a brown band on the watch and fell in love with a light buffalo I was offered. The man asked if I'd like to see it on the watch. It's so nice to see a watch with a band properly installed before purchase! Mostly, you don't get this level of service. The band was a bit long for my small wrist, and I was told there were some smaller offerings, or they could punch another hole. The band was so well-suited to the watch that it had to go home with me. Another hole was added. In all, I got wonderful service, good conversation, excellent products, and knowledgeable repair of my watch. I couldn't be happier to find this local treasure! I will certainly use them in the future and encourage you to as well. For bonus points, could you tell which hand was repaired?"
