"DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THESE PEOPLE!. Minus rating if I could. My pet is my child as most of you reading this review will understand. I brought my dog in for his annual a couple months ago and said I'd never go back. They were so rude and unkind. I've only been back in Louisiana a couple of years after having lived in pet friendly Austin, Tx for 30+ years. It was more like visiting a car dealership than a veterinary office. My dog got bitten/hurt by something unknown while we were walking. I don't drive and had my neighbor rush me to the closest vet. His foot was swollen, passing gas, and his breathing was eratic. They made me wait. Wasn't an emergency to them! Finally got back to the waiting room and had to wait again!. I wanted to curse and scream but didn't want to make matters worse. I was told by the vet it was a spider bite or something! She was nice when asking if she could xray his foot...SMH 60bux worth. It is about the money. I would have spent my last dime to take care of him. It was so obvious. The 'cashier'? in the pharmacy section almost had me in tears. Someone was paying for one of his prescriptions by phone and I was trying to retrieve the number. She said "Give me the number I said. " My phone was locked and running slow. That's when I almost lost it but didn't. These people, not all of them I'm sure, are in the wrong profession. He will be going back to Hope Veterinary Clinic in Walker. ."
