"Waiting close to 4 hours total. Doctor was NOT kid friendly, extremely rude, and left a small bruise on my daughter's forehead from forcing her head down, and left fingerprint bruises under her eyes where the nurse was holding her eyelids down. And this photo was taken almost 2 hours later. My daughter has heart problems and was hyperventilating, and so I picked her up to calm her down and the nurse copped an attitude and started huffing, saying they arnt done to give her back to momma. Listen folks, after today I wouldn't even take a dog to see him better yet a child. PROTECT YOUR BABIES!"

"Terrible experience! Do NOT recommend at all. Went today with my son & waited 3 hours total for a 15 minute appointment. So basically I told my son before the dr came in to mind his manners … the dr comes in & is SUPER rude to my son and myself. He even got an attitude with me when he left out & my son said, “He’s rude!” So for my 6 year old to even notice it, there was obviously a problem. He then said, “I recommend using such and such hospital.” I said ok, is that here? (Meaning in town, local..) He responded with, “well I don’t practice in Texas”. (Because that’s where we’re from) Note: we drove 2 hours to see this doctor. Also, he failed to mention that he would be the one doing the surgery. I had no idea because he sucked at communicating. Long story short, just save yourself the headache and don’t go to this place!"

"So I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews but I don't get them at all see I've been going here personally as a patient from 1 all the way to 18 and dr. Richard's saved my eyes from going blind and in my eyes from a child to an adult he is an amazing kind and caring doctor that even my kids now go see him and they love him my 2 year old and my 6 year old the wait can be terrible but it's worth it for quality care. That's my full opinion from the eyes of a child to all the way to an adult with my own kids dr. Richard's is an amazing doctor. GO HERE."

"Will never return. I’ll fly home to Florida to see my amazing group of eye doctors for my sweet girl with Down syndrome. The wait is unreal. I was there 2.5 hours. Dr. Richards is not kid-friendly, didn’t say hello to my daughter nor I when he entered the room. He didn’t try to engage with my child in a manner expected of a pediatric doctor. He had no emotion whatsoever. He kept—sternly as if annoyed—telling me to move my daughter to my right side then pushed her head down onto my shoulder as she screamed and cried. for an adopted child with trauma and special needs … this is unacceptable. Actually, It’s unacceptable for any child. I left the office greatly frazzled and disappointed. I will never go back there again! I’m honestly not sure how he got a proper prescription on my daughter. Not sure I can trust it. Just unacceptable. Shreveport, you are really lacking with any type of medical care for a child like my daughter. Edited to add this: I had my daughters previous doctor in Florida review her new prescription, she said there is no way this prescription is correct. This practice cannot be trusted."
