"Dr. Thomas Ryan was my doctor since early 1982. He was kind, compassionate, non-judgemental and helped to ease the fears of teenage girls who made mistakes and counseled us in not making the same mistakes again without shaming us. I kept him as my doctor for the next 15 years until I moved to Texas in 1997. He delivered 2 more children, and when I moved to Slidell in 1994 and was pregnant with my youngest, with my other 2 labors being so quick, I was afraid to drive the distance to the hospital in New Orleans and end up having my child en route, so Dr. Ryan and I agreed it would be best to find a dr in Slidell. However, the dr I chose was AWFUL. I would call Dr. Ryan crying after every single prenatal visit telling him how horrible the visit with this doctor was, and instead of dismissing me, Dr. Tom would listen patiently and comfort me. He was always so kind. After I delivered my son, which was a terribly traumatic experience with the doctor in Slidell, I call Dr. Tom and asked if I could go to him for my post-partum check up because I absolutely was not going back to this other doctor. He said yes, and I continued seeing Dr. Tom for everything, even my allergies, headaches, whatever until I moved to Texas. Even then, I had the hardest time finding a doctor because no one ever measured up to Dr. Thomas Ryan. He is and will always be (along with his late brother, Dr. Joe) THE ABSOLUTE BEST THERE IS!!"
