"I cannot recommend anyone rent from this landlord. Here are our issues immediately upon move-in (all were fixed but not without some complaining from Jonathan): Two stove burners did not work. He said if it was one burner he wouldn't fix it Bathtub drain slowly, you would shower in your waste water up to your ankles. (2 months to properly fix) The only drawer in the whole kitchen would not open because of stove placement Gaps in various doors Mouse in the house - finally caught after sticky traps that didn't work were replaced with snap trap. It took 5 months Things that were never fixed: Floor sealant coming up off floor in one room only. Termites. Frass was falling onto one of our beds within 1 month of move in. Jonathan claimed that its harmless and just a part of living in New Orleans. He did spot treat it but the infestation was much worse than we thought (but he knew because the former tenant moved out because Johnathan refused to treat it). The neighbor in the other apartment also has complained about termites. When we made him aware of this issue, he said tenting lead times are 6 months. 6 months later and no tenting had been scheduled. We moved in Sept 1 and its July 2nd. No word on tenting. Common area issues: Porch is built with wood that is rotting. Water leaks from another tenants dish washer into the basement Door bells do not work Roof above porch leaks water onto porch Termite frass and wings accumulating on the stairs. Landlord only cleaned it when he shows for the next tenant."
