Lake Charles Charter Academy

"My child has attended other Charter Schools. This one lacks diversity. A-lot of the teachers and staff are fairly young and have the same kind of perspective on everyday issues/ situations. The environment in the classroom is not one that my child is use to. The teachers offer candy for good grades. They’re ratchet at best. The kids twerk, cuss, and have very adult themed conversations. I know some of this can’t be avoided however I also know that the environment should be monitored and controlled by the adults. It just seems like this is a “ anything goes “ type of place. Overall the school and its systems are very disorganized. To give an example: Just last week a coke truck was backing up in front of the school surrounded by buses not before or after but during dismissal. This definitely would not be my first choice if I had to do it again. If you are looking for a all around solid decent educational environment I would not recommend this school."

"Although they have an awesome principle they seem to have a vast amount of teachers that are there for a paycheck only or inexperienced. My son has attended this school for 2 years now and the first year was awesome but this year they have been through several teachers in one semester leaving us with the most unprofessional, rude, and plan selfish teacher for his homeroom. I would not recommend."

"It's been a pleasure for my son to attend a new school this year. The reason for selecting Lake Charles Charter Academy for its strong morals and leadership. As an educator, I love the various ways for instruction and cultural engagement displayed at the school. My son is in 8th grade, and this is his first year in attendance. He excitedly joined the football and basketball team and have met many new friends."

"I Love Lake Charles Charter Academy! The entire school staff/teachers are always very helpful and understanding, which my children's previous school (Prien Lake Elementary) had horrible communication skills! The curriculum is challenging yet taught carefully to each student. I would recommend this school to family and friends! Lake Charles Charter Academy is the best!"

"Worst school my kids have ever been too. Everyday they complain about the horrible food, bad students, and teachers who are only there for a paycheck. My kids have been to schools all over the United States from Montana to Connecticut and never complained. If you value your kids education go to Moss Bluff or one of the surrounding areas. LCCA is not a good place to send your kids."
