"If a potential employer only offers insurance from Liviniti (aka Variable Copay), find work elsewhere. Your life may depend on it. Never in my nearly 50 years have I dealt with a more inept and questionable company as this. I'm filing letters to congressmen demanding they be investigated. If an attorney reads this and wishes to start a class action suit, I'm your anchor client, just reach out. For months my blood sugar has been at life threatening levels (450+) I have had my doctor of several years try to get approval for several medications and I was constantly told they were waiting on the prior authorization. It got to the point where I thought someone at the doctors office I'd been going to for years was lazy or something, I SWITCHED DOCTORS! The new doctor tried several times and finally they told me I had to contact Liviniti myself. Liviniti decided I have to go through their mail order pharmacy instead of local pharmacies. I explained to Liviniti that I am technically homeless. I am a full time over the road truck driver. I own no property, I have no mailbox, I don't have a regular home address. Liviniti does not care. I explained they could mail meds to a po box but one of my medication requires refrigeration. I explained that I drive all over the country and that I might be in Texas today, Florida in 2 days, New York 3 days after that, California 6 days later. I may not get to a mailbox drop location for weeks or months, but can call a pharmacy where I will be in a couple days and pick up medication. They said I would have to speak to a case manager; in my case Holly; to get any special arrangements made for "local pick up." They refuse to give me a contact number or extention for Holly, and won't transfer me to Holly, but say I have to speak to Holly. I am assuming they're an office of 6 worthless employees (and Sam) because I've called regularly and speak to the same completely inept staff. Shanon on several occasions has done absolutely nothing of value. She has said several times she has "escalated a ticket so that Holly will call." Holly doesn't. For several weeks I was told the mail order pharmacy [of Liviniti's chosing] was going to call. Finally one Saturday I got angry with Shanon that she keeps saying the same thing and she said that they were closed on weekends, but she would call me when they open Monday and transfer me. Monday Shanon called me at 7:20am. She then transfered me to a message that said "You've reached us outside of business hours" and hung up on me. I called back and Antoinette said she didn't know which Shanon I spoke to and she couldn't help. I asked for a Supervisor and got Dustin. Dustin is not just a terrible supervisor, he's a pathetic excuse for a human. In relaying my frustration with being sent to a message to be hung up on, Dustin started crying and told me to stop being mean to him. I explained that I'm frustrated and it's inappropriate for him to tell me how to feel and react, and that if he can't take it to transfer me to a different supervisor. Dustin repeated "I can handle it," but as soon as I continued with my situation he hung up on me. When I called back Antoinette said that Dustin "escalated my ticket to have Holly call," to which I said I wasn't even speaking to him about that. She wouldn't transfer me back to Dustin because his feelings were hurt and he didn't want to talk to me anymore. I asked to speak to a different supervisor and she explained that they don't have any other supervisors, just Dustin. I asked for a corporate office, and she told me to look on the website. I said that I wanted a number, she hung up on me. I finally called the pharmacy myself and they never received my information from Liviniti. Sam finally set up my profile and I was able to order my pills for $1400 (I still haven't been able to pick them up), but still can't get my injection medication because Holly won't call, Dustin won't answer or do his job. I keep calling for Holly. Liviniti prefers I die than get my meds, though they get my premium every month."

"Giving a 4 star because they FINALLY approved to cover my child’s medication. The people were always nice but couldn’t seem to get anything done until it moved on up the ladder. Dealt with it for 9 days straight. However they came thru and covered it."

"At first they denied my claim but after I submitted a lengthy appeal, my medication was approved. The last woman I spoke with was an absolute gem!"

"This is the worst insurance company ever!!! They will hold your prescriptions hostage and force you to use their preferred services (offered by Kroger) even if that means you go several weeks without any medication you may need Update: I was contacted by a customer care representative named Kim and she was extremely pleasant and helpful on the phone. Unfortunately I was still forced to drive out of state for my prescription but after speaking with her they will be escalating the issue to the account manager. Hopefully this can be fixed to prevent future issues. At least the customer service representatives with Liviniti are empathetic and helpful"
