Bayberry Apartments

"Absolutely abhorrent.DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MOVE HERE. APARTMENT COMPLETELY FULL OF BLACK MOLD AND BUGS. BLACK MOLD. (Our friends also lived here and had the same problem and we talked to other residents experiencing the same thing.)This problem went on for an entire year. It ruined our things and made us sick and when brought up to Rachita in the office she seemed sympathetic but never could seem to have a solution. Multiple times they had people try to come in our apartments with 0 notice(which is illegal btw). The one time they tried to do something to the mold other than spray it (which did NOTHING) they wanted to come into our apartment and completely strip the walls of paint with all of our stuff inside and repaint the entire apartment with us and our stuff inside. The walls would literally weep when it was cold which caused more mold and it STANK like something dead. There were literally holes in the walls going to the outside.They let people sit outside in the walkway of the upstairs apartments directly in front of my windows so I could never open my blinds. The stairs were crumpling and rusty and literally scraped my ankle with rust because they were so rickety. I heard the construction workers talking about the building and they said there were huge holes on top of the building that were never repaired after the hurricane and let water pour in between the walls and they said it should've been demolished. The electric bill was over 200 dollars every single month when we were almost never home and were sure to keep the ac on auto. Our friends electricity bill was switched with another apartment so I assume they did the same to us. They did nothing to fix the mold and we were getting super sick so we tried to talk to Rachita and she said since there was so much mold and so many people were having the same problem that we could leave for free. We left and about a month and a half later I got a call from a DEBT COLLECTOR saying that we never paid when she said it was okay to leave and got the key back from us. They were trying to charge us over $2000 dollars. I went to Rachita and she said "I never said that" and I was asking her what about all the mold and everything and she said "I might've misspoken" THATS NOT MISSPEAKING YOU SAID POINT BLANK PERIOD WE COULD LEAVE DUE TO THE (ILLLLEEEEGGAAALL) CONDITION OF THE APARTMENT. I got the email of her manager and the manager told me NOT TO CONTACT HER?? She said I shouldn't have her contact and Rachita is the only person I could contact and was EXTREMELY rude when I attached pictures of the horrible condition of our apartments. Also the pool was out of order for almost the entire time we lived there but when they got it turned back on the pool pump would be so loud that it gave me migraines. It was inside the apartments directly behind our wall instead of being in a pool shed or the office. Disgusting people and disgusting place the only good person was Darrel and I'm pretty sure he doesn't even work there anymore."

"Staff is very rude and unprofessional. Especially to someone with a disability. They shut the office door in my face and locked me out the office, never change or fixed anything when we complained about it and also charged me almost 2000$ when i moved out over stuff that was never there in the first place."

"Shavon was amazing to work with and responded in an extremely timely matter and could easily help me with any questions or concerns I may of had! The apartment was really nice with it also being at a fair price I 100% recommend this area."

"Would not recommend unless you are really trying to save money. however they are slowly raising rent prices through mandatory services like alarms and trash valet. Maintenance and lawn care are inconsistent at best in work and time. Lastly, roach infestations are very apparent as there are numerous gaps and cracks for the like to make it inside"

"all the property managers are respectful and nice , they take their time doing their job , they make sure they don’t miss anything and they work with you and will help you in the most possible way . The area is pet friendly the apartments are nice , they outside the apartments are clean there’s no trash laying around , and their is house alarms that comes with your apartment is my favorite part and is the exact reason I’m moving here."
