"With all the different boudain makers in Louisiana and everyone has different taste buds this little place stands out. Their boudain is some of the very best I've come across in Louisiana. Seasoned just perfect with a hint of heat. Super friendly folks too. I asked in town where was the best boudain in town. 3 locals chimed together JEWEL'S. I found em kinda tucked away on a lonely street but because I love to visit places I just might see again I can say those places usually are the best... Jewels is no exception."
"Simply a quick stop convenience take-out store, but there is no better boudin to be found, hands down. If that's not good enough, their boudin balls are even better. That fluffy rice/meat mixture is coated by a thin batter and deep fried. When you bite into it, it is a thin crunch with such a soft spicy interior (not a squishy stuffing like many places). No, I don't work for them (lol), I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and my mom lives in Kinder, Louisiana. We stop in Oakdale at Jewel's coming and going. They are that good."
