"Just got back from eye exam to get new prescription for glasses and contacts. Great experience! She was so personable and made me feel very comfortable! Very knowledgeable. She fixed problems from my previous eye doctor (prescription was too strong for nearsighted, young person), she picked out a bunch of glasses that fit within my insurance allowance and let me try them, she explained everything thoroughly - during the exam and prices with insurance for glasses/contacts. She even calculated insurance coverage and out-of-pocket expenses right in front of me! There was no pressure. She gave me lots of options to choose from: I could buy from her or somewhere else. She offered to order 3 frames online and let me come back to try them. I ended up liking a set she already had. At the end of my exam, she informed me of a condition (retinal detachment) and explained how I was high risk. She sent me home with printed info. We did a dilation exam just to make sure there were no signs - at no extra cost! Local lady, small business. This lady is worth supporting! While waiting for my eyes to dilate, we talked about how she got her business started from limited resources. A family member painted the art on her walls, she didn't buy expensive office furniture, she does everything - scheduling, calling, exams, insurance, computer maintenance - a true small business entrepreneur. Support your local small business! I heard about this place via word of mouth - 2 friends liked their experience and recommended to me. Just make sure you call her private practice office and not her old position at the Eye Center. She's located on Wheeler/Hwy 190 in the building between the Texas Wine Shop and the ambulance company."
