"Receiving a cancer diagnosis is very hard, so it means a lot to have access to the best possible medical care as well as professional and dedicated healthcare providers and staffs. One of the greatest assets that we have in Louisiana is Willis-Knighton Cancer Center in Shreveport. From the first day that I walked in WK Cancer center to begin radiation treatment, it was very obvious to both my husband and myself that this was not a typical cancer treatment center. Every employee that we met, from custodians, clerical workers, receptionists, technicians, nurses and doctors were all extraordinary people, not just because of their skill but because of their kindness and attention to every patient. Because of their attitudes it made it easier for me to not only focus on my own situation, but I was able to see the other patients, many of them suffering greatly with this awful disease. I've been a patient for just over a year now at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center. In all that time my treatment and care has been the best."
