"I recently moved to Crowley from Lake Charles and needed to get med refills sent to Medicine Shoppe. I was on hold for 30 plus minutes and was finally answered by someone named Marjorie. I could not even explain to her the purpose of my call before she rudely stated, “You wanna come over here ? I’m working by myself. Ima put you over to my boss and you can talk to her.” She then transferred me to someone else and I was again placed on hold. I was able to speak to Brandy ( Ms. Stacie’s nurse) and schedule a virtual visit. Ms. Brandy took care of my requests very professionally and in a short period of time. I asked her to speak to a supervisor on duty to report the unprofessional manner in which Marjorie spoke to me. I was able to speak to Ms. Ramona who not only listened to my complaint, but she also immediately forwarded my complaint to the correct department. I , myself, was an employee of SWLA (Lake Charles) as an Internal Medicine Nurse. I have been a patient at SWLA for 10 plus years. Behavior like this has never been tolerated nor should it ever be. You never know who could be on the other end of that receiver ! SWLA has always been held to the utmost of standards. One bad apple can, but should not, spoil the bunch. My appreciation goes to both Ms. Brandy and Ms. Ramona for their plan of correction and immediate action in this matter."

"Dr. Owens was professional. She cut to the chase about the work that needed to be done and did it! One time I waited an hour and half to be seen the next time took 10 min. GREAT price. Goes on a sliding scale "how much you make". HAD TO WAIT 2 MONTHS AFTER GETTING A COUPLE TEETH PULLED BEFORE I COULD GO BACK AND GET MORE DONE.... WAY TO LONG!!!!"

"Where do I start.... I called multiple times for an appointment and the answering service always told me someone would call me back and never did. Called the last time and complained so I was told to go in early for first come first serve. Get there and was told since I'm not in pain they cannot see me to make an appointment!!! Complained until they agreed to see me, then told me that I had no dental insurance..... called Medicaid when I got home and was told that dental comes with Medicaid and I was covered all along. Went in again and was told AGAIN that I had no insurance and tried sending me on my way AGAIN!! Thankfully there was another receptionist there that actually knew how to do her job. I don't even want to talk about how the appointment went... save yourself the time and money and find someone who actually cares because they certainly do not."

"VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Made an apt because I have a cavity. dentist was rude and told me I needed a clean and scheduled me a month later. (Even though I told them I was in pain) took off of work, they called me the day before to confirm and told me my insurance didn’t cover and i would have to pay out of pocket. Now I’m in pain more, waited a month, and nothing. Don’t waste your time or money."

"The medical side is awesome but I've had issues with the dental side several times.Not with the ppl,they all great,but scheduling.Seems somebody can't get it right.Ive been "worked in" at least 2x when I had an appointment but wasn't showing on the computer."
