"This places doesn't look like much from the outside, but often that is where you can find the best hidden gems. This is one of those places. Although it is a little run down and could use some updating, the food is terrific. I had the coktail de cameron (shrimp cocktail) and bistek encebollado (skirt steak with grilled onion) and both were surprisingly very delicious and well seasoned. The steak had a lot of flavor and was cooked to perfection. I haven't had Mexican/Central American food this good in a while. If you are staying close to New Orleans airport give them a try."

"This used to be my go-to for Mexican. But in the past several months, the quality of food has gone down significantly, and the customer service has deteriorated completely. The staff are incredibly rude and act like you're interrupting them when you arrive to place or pick up an order. They've gone as far making fun of the customer in front of me, assumingly thinking nobody around them understood what they were saying. I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews, always hoping it was just one less than stellar experience, but I've noticed this is a constant at this establishment and maybe management or owners should be aware."

"The food and service were good, but they had a plumbing issue while we were there, and it wasn't pleasant."

"The strawberry margaritas were amazing, food looked amazing but wasn’t anything to write home about. The sauce that came with the tacos was mega spicy to the point I couldn’t even eat them. The cheese stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp didn’t have any cheese."

"This place is a decent local eatery with a pretty standard menu, though it's nice to see the various Central American cuisines being labeled rather than everything being lumped together as "Mexican." Our waitress' English was better than our Spanish, but only just. She was attentive and clearly wanted us to have a good experience. The food was good, if unremarkable, with the exception of the fried Yucca starter, which was really excellent - I'll come back just to have that again. I would come back. I'd like to see this place buzzing and full (post-Covid, of course) - I think a loud, sparkling atmosphere would take this to a really fun experience."
