About the Business

Joseph's Storehouse

Joseph's Storehouse is a unique and impactful institution located at 2200 Main Street in Baker, Louisiana. Our store offers a variety of items including clothing, furniture, home goods, and shoes. However, we are more than just a store - we are a mission-driven organization dedicated to fulfilling the scripture from Isaiah 61.

Our mission is to spread the good news, heal the brokenhearted, free the captives, and comfort those who mourn. In line with this mission, we provide funding for All The Way House (ATWH), a faith-based ministry that helps men overcome struggles with addiction and life-controlling issues. ATWH focuses on recovery, regeneration, and maintaining a sober lifestyle through biblical Christian values.

Joseph's Storehouse operates solely on donations from the community, providing a unique shopping experience while contributing to combating the drug epidemic. Your support not only helps us keep our expenses low, but also builds the faith of our students in God. By shopping with us and donating your gently used goods, you are making a positive impact on our community and helping us fulfill the mission of Isaiah 61.

Thank you for partnering with Joseph's Storehouse in our mission to bring healing, freedom, and comfort to those in need. May God bless you for your support.

"Not the cleanest retail environment that I have been around. The floors have no shot of rebounding or even achieving the lowest level of expectations for a person wanting to shop. I will take a stab in the dark and say the retail sales floor has absolutely no organization or concept no rhyme or reason as to why a particular item may be in this area or some other area it's painfully obvious someone has figured out how to make a ton of money by taking the Public donations and large companies donating actual furniture that could be sold in a showroom setting and selling them for massive prophets because their labor is nothing more than volunteer workers which are not paid more than likely and to put the cherry on top I'm sure they have figured out how to have their store concept configured as a religious tax-exempt nonprofit organization how genius is that?"

"I like this store very much. Many of their items have an antique flair, which I like. They are wonderful in storing items until you are ready for them. They are easy to talk to, and will offer up prayers for you, if you are willing to accept the prayer. I have found some great things to help my house become a home"

"Horrible, so much junk to get around, I went there for BOOKS after finally asking where the BOOKS where he pointed to the wall far far away, so I do get to cross the entire store,to find old VCR TAPES,I finally talk to someone who said that you no longer sell books, after I had driven out of my way to get to, said y'all sell all the books that were donated? I did buy one thing a pig cannister, only two bucks, only because I am a collector of them, probably worth about $50.00,but unless you start selling I'm not going back"

"I thought I'd give this place a second shot since they're in a new building, but it was a waste of my time. This place is full of two types of things: 1) junk that looks like it was dug out of the actual trash and not cleaned up. Seriously, baby items and toys covered in dirt. 2)What isn't junk is either not priced or WAY overpriced. They were selling a used kitchen table for $650, marked down from an original price of $950 with "JESUS" on the tag as if that would make it worth more. The second I walked in the door, it was awkward because one employee was hitting on another MUCH younger employee just nonstop at the front counter. So creepy. Just another case of Ricky Sinclair taking advantage of people who need it most. Nothing has changed."
