"Came to visit the home town, on my way to Austin, Tx for my buddy Schilty’s Wedding. I had to stop by and support my friend and her accomplishments. We tried the “UpTown Grits, Strawberry Pancakes, Fish & Grits, with both fried and grilled fish, also Scramble Eggs and Egg Whites and The Kitchen Sink Omelet minus the tomotoes, Biscuits and Toasts.. Food was amazing ...!! “Come And Get Your Soul Food” ..!!"

"The food here was delicious. Real collard greens, real baked macaroni and cheese, real smothered turkey wings. This place was nice. And you get everything for like $12.00. And that tea. My goodness. Soul food at it's best. It's southern not Creole, not Cajun, but good ole country eating. Please don't change. I will be back again. She can cook all the way down. And the special of the day changes so you can figure out your favorite day or you can go everyday. Them turkey wings were fire. I am saddened that I just found out about this place. Oh and I haven't tried it yet, but she has a $1.50 breakfast."

"This small business is owned by Tina Thornton and is located in uptown New Orleans. The food there is really good. Tina greets everyone with a smile and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming as well. I highly recommend this place!"

"Love the atmosphere. Feels like home when you walk in and see the friendly faces. I'm doing low-to-no-carbs and they were so nice to altar their menu item to accommodate me. They created a collard greens and turkey sausage omelette for me that was to die for. I've also been here for the smothered turkey wings and vegetables and when I tell you, it will rival your grandmother's cooking, BELIEVE ME! Love this place."
