About the Business

Located in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Buck & Johnny's is a unique and eclectic restaurant that offers a fusion of Italian cuisine with a Cajun flair. The institution, situated at 100 Berard Street, was once an abandoned building that has been transformed into a multi-use space for dining, shopping, and events.

Owned by David Buck and his daughter, Heather Indest, in partnership with Johnny & Coatney Raymond, Buck & Johnny's prides itself on serving authentic Cajun-Italian dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients. The restaurant's ambiance pays homage to its history as the old Domingue's Motors building, with vintage tin signage and oil can light fixtures adding to the charm.

Guests can enjoy their meals on the two-sided balcony overlooking the dining area and the popular Filling Station bar. With a selection of top-notch bourbons and wines, a friendly and attentive staff, and live music performances every night, Buck & Johnny's is the perfect destination for a family dinner, a special celebration, or a romantic evening for two.

"Overall good experience, I liked the fried fish dish and the beer. The gumbo wasn't good tho. They have live music which is a huge plus. Parking signage isn't clear and made me feel that I was parked in the wrong place."

"Grab a Bayou Blast pizza and hang out on Saturday nights — always something fun going on. LSU games on in the bar. Great menu with lots of options. Customer service rocks! Live bands on wknd with zydeco dancing. Saturday Zydeco Breakfast. My husband and I enjoy the Pasta Cecilia and the Seafood Pasta. Stuffed seafood mushrooms are great appetizers. My fave beverage is the garden martini."

"Holy pizza! The carnivore Pizza is really loaded down with great meat! We enjoyed the 10" with side salads, house and cesar. Make sure to get the pizza crispy/ well done, because the crust is thin. Got a few of the dressings to try and wow! The cane syrup, honey mustard and ranch are made in house and really yummy. They have some super delicious items but a tummy can only take so much. Ha!"

"Great Atmosphere with plenty of seating for our group of 9. Fast very friendly service from staff who knows their menu. I had the seafood gumbo and potato salad. Loved the dark roux's flavor. The temperature could have been a little warmer for my taste. Overall good. Not the best but I was not disappointed either. Friends with me had pizza and wrap dishes that they enjoyed that also looked delicious except for 1 who had fried fish (nuggets not fillets) and shrimp) that she didn't like. I'm looking forward to returning for Zydeco breakfast on a Saturday!"

"Made a quick stop before the game and the artichoke dip was wonderful. Unfortunately the fried fish had a questionable skin that made it impossible to eat. Great atmosphere! Great drinks! It’s worth the drive (just avoid the fish)."
