"The Rice Palace is the exception to the post covid way of doing business. The restaurant has been recently updated with a bright and fresh new look. The kitchen and staff work in open view of those dining. You will never come here and find this place under staffed. I am always amazed by the the wait staff and their commitment to service, Ella was no exception. The employees here seem to do their work with intent, purpose and pleasure bringing real meaning to the word "server." You'd be hard pressed to find something here you didn't like which brings me to the topic of food. I've got to say all the food looks and sounds amazing here. I think most anyone could find a favorite dish here, but my go to can't get enough of is the hamburger steak cooked to your desire.... sooo good! If you work hard for your money and miss the days when you could enjoy the fruit and labor of it over a great meal with eceptional service and a inviting atmosphere than you need to try out the Rice Palace."

"DO NOT get the chicken and gumbo here. I’d say don’t stop here at all and try another Cajun restaurant down the street but I’m going to leave my review based off this item I purchased for $15. The owner and manager really need to go to another restaurant and try their gumbo and see how it taste. This was flavorless and 0 salt in it. If you look at the photo there is a thick layer of oil sitting on top. Barely any meat at all. Please have your chef do better this was terrible. Also it comes with potato salad with ALSO had 0 flavor and no salt. How do you taste something like this and say it’s good enough to put on the menu to sell."

"Very friendly staff. The owner served us our food. We had seafood gumbo and I had blacked catfish with crawfish étouffée. Food was wonderful. Building is modern and kitchen is completely visible which is a major plus. Lots of regulars while we were here. Ignore any bad reviews. Seriously."

"You call this a Gumbo bowl. Really Rice palace. Once I put my rice in the juice start to over flow. You definitely do not get your money worth over here. Me and my crew will not be back. #moremoneylessfood."

"Let me start off by saying how delightful this place is. The restaurant is super clean and very well maintained. We walked in and were greeted and seated quickly with our orders placed. We shared a bowl of delicious sausage and chicken gumbo. I had a beautiful, bright, colorful salad with crispy croutons, sautéed broccoli (that was absolutely fantastic), and the Crawfish Trap. The trap is a grilled fish fillet topped with crawfish etouffee. My husband had the special, which was fried chicken with amazing crispy, cruchy skin, cornbread dressing, and yams. All the food came out hot with so much flavor, the Louisiana flavors that I love and crave. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating and provided me with a to-go cup of sweet tea for the road. The restaurant is located next to a truck stop right off of I-10. So, if you are a truck driver like me, there's plenty of parking to stop in for a bite to eat."
