Dollar General 1523 East Main Street, El Dorado, AR 71730

"(As told by my wife)I was shopping at this location on 06/09/22 around 2pm. I was grabbing a quick drink and candy bar on my way to work. The line was moving really slow and I was running late. I put both items back and left the store in a hurry for work. As I am unlocking my car, a Dollar General employee came out of the store and headed towards me quickly. She then demanded I let her look in my purse. I said, sure thing and opened it up wide. She looked inside it and saw I hadn't taken anything. I told her she was not allowed to do that. She angrily replied the alarm had gone off. It most definitely did not, there was nothing on my person to set it off, and there was no alarm, ding, bell or other sound when I walked through the door. It was a complete lie. She turned around and started walking off. I asked her for her name 3 times and she completely ignored me. I have never been so embarrassed. By chasing me out of the store it gave everyone there the impression I am a thief, she offered no apology. The employee was white, female, with long blond hair. She probably was confused by my putting something where it belonged. No one who works there seems able to do that. The store is always very messy with unstocked boxes everywhere, I only ever stop there because it is close to work, now I will not even be doing that."

"I love the 1 in Wild Wood in El Dorado Arkansas it is always clean and organized. I always spend more than I should at that 1. And the young lady that is the manager is awesome. Now mind you I live on Junction City Road on the outskirts by Welcome Center and I have to pass 2 other DG to get to Wild Wood DG but it is really worth it. The 1 on East Main street is a hot mess all the time since the young lady that's at the Wildwood DG left it. I only go in there if I am in need and can't wait."

"Their store looks like its closing, long waiting periods in line because of only one employee at the register. The card machine is so broke down that its taped up, and a card has to be inserted 3 times before it times out and can't process your purchase. Sad visit. The cashier was nice however."

"I have to wonder how much they are paying for the positive reviews. This store is the most disgusting DG I have ever been in. Trash everywhere inside and out. Rude employees that never smile or say hi to anyone, except their friends who they hang out and chat with while you wait in line. Seriously just disgusting store. Go out of your way and go to the one on Hillsboro. It is night and day comparison."

"This store could be well apportioned, but I entered it today and it was chaos. Multiple carts, filled with inventory. Inventory on the floor, including clothing with tags. Some of the areas impassible due to clutter and many open spaces where inventory should be. The store appears hopeless at this point. One employee, my cashier greeted me kindly. The star is for her."
