"What a pleasant surprise this evening! I saw water, put what I was doing on hold, and pulled into the parking lot. It appears the Ridgefield Waterfront is adjacent to the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge. I realized this as I walked the trail by the water on the left and saw another body of water to my right filled with swans! This time of year getting close to the swans is restricted, but I was still able to get some zoomed in photos of them, which brought a smile to my heart! Although the area is not very large, it is beautiful. I had a peaceful time walking, taking photos, and watching the sunset. There is a small private marina by the parking lot area, along with some public restrooms. I would like to mention that I just read on the internet that there is a redevelopment plan in place for this area. I'm excited to see the results!"
