Tulip Town

"2 stars because of previous good experiences but 2023 was just awful First I want to start with the positives -When we visited in 2021 there was practically no crowd, and the fields were large and beautiful, plenty of room to spread out. It was also pretty quiet and peaceful. -The shops inside the barn were decently priced, still a bit on the expensive side but nothing too crazy. They had a good selection of items, and the gift shop at the end of the barn was really cute. -The Animal Crossing theme was super cute, and much appreciated. The negatives -Traffic. We had the worst experience in 2023 trying to get to Tulip Town. I normally live about 45min away from Tulip Town, it took 3 hours to get here on a sunny weekend. 1 hour alone was spent less than a mile away from Tulip Town. By the time we got there we were mad, and then had to wait another 30 minutes to get into Tulip Town via the ticket gate. The trip home took another 2 hours, so by the end of the weekend I was absolutely exhausted. -Over crowding. Obviously because it took 3.5 hours to get into Tulip Town. Tickets need to be capped or something because there is not enough infrastructure to support so many people trying to visit. -The rows. I respect that the business doesn’t want people walking between the rows, but maybe you should put up some fencing instead of screaming over microphone for people to get out of the rows. Clearly the signage and yelling at people wasn’t working, so try something different? The last thing after a 3.5 hr trip to get here is to have my ear blasted with someone saying “get out of the rows!” -Shops. Everything has really skyrocketed in price, we didn’t buy any souvenirs because everything was ridiculously expensive. This includes food. Please cap ticket sales in the future."

"A fun date experience. It is a decent place to walk around and take photos while enjoying the gorgeous colors - it wasn't terribly busy and everyone was fairly polite. Getting into parking requires patience, but nothing terrible. Looking forward to next year!"

"We splurged for the experience pass and I don't think it's worth it if you're not planning on growing tulips yourself. That said, it was very fun to learn about the farm's history and how they do things and also to pick our own bouquets. The atmosphere is obviously 10 out of 10. The entire time I was swooning. Great opportunities to take photos. They could use more food trucks... or even like two food trucks. I recommend really planning out when you want to be there. Parking is a battle and getting to the site was the biggest traffic jam I've ever seen. Some people were waiting an entire hour before even entering the park!"

"Tulip Town is awesome! We went on a Friday and it was pretty crazy but not nearly as crazy and the next two days over the weekend. Make sure you save yourself plenty of time for traffic before and after. The town is insane right now and for good reason! The tulips were in bloom. Tulip Town has a trolley and little shops and food!"
