H&R Block

"Jenna G. was very professional and took extra time to talk through all of our personal tax questions for this year but also gave us advice on some future tax needs. She made sure she completely answered our questions before moving to the next topic. The only reason for a 4/5 is that another location that I stopped by had hours posted online and then had changed their hours with only a small sign on the door. The Hyland Hills branch gets 5/5 for helping, the location on Nimbus I would give 3/5 for their hours."

"I purchased a home in 2022 and did a ton of repairs, so I scheduled a in person appointment to discuss everything and hopefully learn a few things as a new home owner. when I arrived, they immediately started to rush me in to gathering all documents, scanning and emailing it to them. i told the receptionist and tax person I wanted to sit down and have a conversation about my taxes prior to handing anything over. The tax “pro” stated he was not qualified to do the kind of taxes I was asking for. really??? you don’t understand how to do a new homeowners taxes??? extremely disappointing . you will never have me as a customer. stay far far away from this company for your taxes. IDIOTS!"

"I was provided an appointment by the H&R Block website and no one was there for the appointment. Why did I need the appointment, you ask? Let me tell you! I used H&R Block's online preparation for 2020, for the first time in 10 years because my employer had a deal. I provided ALL the information that was necessary. H&R Block didn't send in the form necessary for a property sale. They also didn't include my medical expenses (which were there where I did the review). Now, the IRS is asking my to validate income that want reported and I have to send them copies from all the title transactions AND I have to send them the form that should have been included. 10 years ago a person at H&R BLOCK forgot to add my dependent information (which they had) and it took 2 weeks for them to fix their mistake. I was submitting my forms on the very last day. Now the online service didn't generate a form for questions THEY asked and were answered. Plus--don't need any help!! Their chat feature is a bot and they give you fake appointments. Worst experience in my life and now the IRS probably going to question everything I do for the next 10 years. Do not use H&R Block. After seeing the response, I contacted HR Block using the phone number indicated and spent 30 minutes on the phone to be told that I was to check my records and contact the IRS for further instructions on how to resolve my situation. Again: DO NO USE HR BLOCK"

"The woman was as knowledgeable as I am regarding changes in laws and how to apply them correctly. I would have hired her for her customer care, knowledge, ability to clearly explain the process to me. She very much shows the ability to be a supervisor and teacher. She is well below her work skill set. She definitely needs to be way up the ladder, she has a great deal to offer the company. Nancy H."
