"Great store, the workers are all so nice and helpful. Great amount of stock despite the size!"

"Store had the fabric that I wanted but there was a sign at the cutting area that the cutter was gone for an hour. When I asked the two employees standing at the front, chatting… they said that nobody could help the many folx waiting for their fabric to be measured/cut. Why at a fabric store, is there nobody available to cut fabric?"

"I came into this JOANN location the other day to pick up an online order. Part of my order was unavailable, so I had to both pick up the remainder of my order and pick up a replacement for the item I ordered that wasn't available. I'd never done an online pick up before and wasn't sure quite how it worked, so I told the cashier, Alice, this when I got to her register. I told her I needed to buy the item I had just picked out and also pick up an online order. She didn't understand what I was asking I guess, because she very rudely said so. I apologized and said I'd never done this before so I wasn't quite sure of the process. I tried to explain it more simply, just that I needed to buy the item and pick up my online order. She talked down to me like I was a 5-year-old and sneered at me that I had to do it in two transactions. Sure, no problem. She rang up my item and asked if I had a phone number, I said I think so, so she tried it and it didn't work, so I asked if my email might work instead. She again, sneered at me that no, of course an email wouldn't work, as if I should have known or something. After ringing it up she still hadn't produced my other online order yet so I wondered if she had misunderstood me or forgot, and she still hadn't explained to me how it worked so after she rung up my item I asked a question about the online order. She was like "oh my GOD I already TOLD YOU it has to be in a SEPARATE ORDER what about that do you NOT UNDERSTAND?" I have moderate, clinically diagnosed social anxiety and I was just trying to understand the situation better and was constantly talked down to, treated like a child, and was treated as if I was dumb. I had asked several very sensible, easy questions and she mocked and sneered at me the whole while. If Alice doesn't like her job, she should quit it instead of treating her customers like she just treated me. In all my years of going to any kind of store, anywhere, I've NEVER had this kind of experience of being so blatantly mocked by a cashier before for no reason."

"Friendly staff but the store is small and pretty disorganized. Parking seems to be a bit difficult even though they have a parking lot. Their parking lot has only a few spots. I was looking for a birthday decoration for a 40th theme. Couldn't find anything. The price seems to be reasonable. My niece bought 3/4 of a yard of fabric and wood sticks for her school project and it was about $8 for two items."

"Great crafts store to have in Ballard! They have a wide selection of sewing, crafts, and home decor at reasonable prices - which are normally "on sale". The store isn't the most modern, but the selection and prices largely make up for this. However, this store can be unprofessional with two examples coming to mind: 1. The clerk was on her phone filling out her time-off form meanwhile we were paying for our things 2. A different clerk said "G*d d**n" in front of me as she was trying to get the register to work overall Great store overall, but the staff could be trained better."
