"I called Jim Dandy earlier this week as I had used them a few years ago. My sewage line had backed up during the heavy rains twice this fall/winter. Andrew came out with a video/scope and showed me what was causing the problem (roots growing in a the joints in two places and buildup on another area due to another issue). Anyway - Andrew is super knowledgeable and I appreciated him talking to me on the phone before the appt explaining what would be done while on-site. Then he was great and walking me through the findings, showing them to me on the camera/video and laying out the go-forward plan and options. A great experience overall and I highly recommend."

"I've worked with Jim Dandy twice now and have found their "services" to be a waste of money and time, and borderline unprofessional. In my most recent experience, the technician who arrived on-site told me that he couldn't do the repair because he'd need his managers approval since the pipe was located on our 2nd floor roof deck. (I noted the location of the pipe/repair in the intake form *before* the appointment, so this was an egregious oversight by Jim Dandy.) He canvassed the building for an hour after I repeatedly asked him to please call his manager to see if he was approved to do the repair or not. Exactly one hour after he arrived on-site, he confirmed that he wasn’t approved to do the repair, charged me $500 for "one hour of work", and left without ever seeing, touching, or repairing the pipe in question. Only offering 1 star because their front office is easy to get ahold of."

"This company won’t take responsibility for their negligence. Chuck came to our house for an estimate on completely unrelated work. He offered to scope the kitchen line as well, which was working perfectly, without mentioning any potential risks. He then shoved his camera, which barely fit the 2 inch line. After pointing out the grease in the line, he kept pushing until it clogged the pipe completely. We then called Andrew and Chris who refused to take responsibility. The solution they proposed was to pay their technician to fix the problem their company had caused 4 PM on a Friday. When I asked if they often make customers pay for the problems they cause, they said that it happened rarely but that people were typically understanding. Clearly this is their standard of practice. Avoid Jim Dandy if you don't want to get charged for fixing problems they create."
