"Not a good service. I used Derek and CCA some years ago when they were structured differently and had a physical office off Stark St. in Portland and my results had some value. They used to charge by the account they corrected and that made sense. Now they charge by the month which gives them no motivation to work quickly. They offer three tiers at 3 different price points and trust me, there is no difference in the service provided. So , if you are going to use this service( which i highly suggest you don’t), choose the cheapest route. I recently cancelled my service when i realized what i had paid for the last 2 years, i could have just settled my debts on my own. The total credit score increase in 2 years was 11 points for almost 5000$. This monthly structure is a scam. Im not disgruntled, I’m just trying to keep others that clearly have financial and debt issues already not to waste your time thinking this is a quick fix to get out of debt. Your best option is to contact your creditors and set up a payment plan. It will be cheaper and less frustrating. There were more times than i can count that it took Derek more than 10 days to respond to an email. Doesn’t surprise me considering i am charged by the month. Feel free to contact me if you want to see some examples of our communications. I saved every one of them. Do not make your situation worse by getting involved with these scammers. All you need to know is this… Derek has a Portland based phone number, an office in Washington, and a Reno NV based company. This is to protect them, not you. Thanks"

"There are swarms of shady credit repair businesses out there (side advice: Lexington Law is one of them), but this one is not. My credit score had mysteriously dropped from “excellent” to “fair” over the past 2 years and I couldn’t figure out why. I had ONE late payment from 2 years ago that came from an isolated case of forgetfulness and I figured I needed to hire a professional to help me get that removed. Derek took a look at my report during my free consultation and helped me realize that the problem was that I just didn’t have enough lines of credit in my name after old cards fell off my report. He was kind and informative and didn’t make me feel like an idiot for not being credit savvy. He gave me some great advice to rectify my situation and then told me “This is just a small issue not worth hiring me for - I’d rather you go spend your money on investments. Get yourself a new card or two and you’ll see your score approve in a few months”. So while I was never an actual client, I figured the least I could do was give a nice review for the help I received."
