"Shipped live animals via the post office live animal service and the delivery person didn’t even knock on the door when 4 family members were home waiting for packages. They left an attempted delivery notice on Friday, with no way to pick up or contact or have delivered until the following Tuesday. So basically, the delivery person killed our animals when they were supposed to take extra care of the package that had the post office “live animal” stickers on it. What a great way to start the new year. Our son moves away and trying to start his year out right, we send him his animals with love. But the Sequim post office laziness kills them so they could start their vacation a few minutes early. I only have four letter words to say to anyone at this post office."

"I’ve always been very pleased with the service here. Yes, there is a line sometimes but sometimes there isn’t a line. The people working the counter have always been pleasant and helpful for me. I really appreciate the employees. I lived in a midwestern state before coming here and there were some very scary people working in that post office but I’ve never even had a frown from the employees in Sequim."

"I visited the Sequim post office this week for the first time in quite a long time. I had two packages ready to go with with the addresses on post notes. Generally I go to pack and ship companies now for my shipping needs and they print the mailing labels from their computer for me and say that they prefer it be done that way. When it was my turn to be helped, the post lady at the counter didn’t even look up or acknowledge me, she was complaining about something to the other post lady next her. I finally just walked up and sat the packages on the counter. When she finished complaining she turned, looked at the packages and shouted, “you have make labels for those!” So I picked up the packages and drove to Carlsborg and went to the pack and ship company I usually go to. No problem with labels. I don’t really mind if the post office policy is that they do not print labels but I have to say that the Sequim Post Office employees are rude and seem burned out. I expect they are short staffed and may also be experiencing poor management. After waiting in a line that was 12 to 15 minutes I think a simple amount of courtesy would certainly be a welcome thing from customers"

"Was in there today when a nice lady came up to the counter and cheerfully stated that she needed her package taped up and sent. Instead of being told politely that they don't tape things up normally (which I also did not know they don't do that), the employee took the opportunity to be rude. She told the kind lady that "we don't usually give out tape. we make people buy it. this is a business and we need to make money." Her tone was dripping with contempt and coldness but even still the nice lady responded with grace that she understood. I don't know what else happened as I left, but I felt bad for the kind lady and just the overall lack of customer service offered to her. Weird because the previous customer the employee helped, she was very friendly with so I'm also wondering if it was race related but who knows. Just bad customer service and human-to-human interaction all around. The ladies at this location seem to often have an attitude which is unfortunate. There is a very nice man that works here (try and get him if you're having any issues or just don't want to walk away feeling sad about humanity). He has longer curlyish hair. Always wish I could tip him. He is so kind. The drivers are not great either. Over several months I had trouble receiving my mail due to "potholes". They would write on my mail to fix the potholes and then just stopped delivering the mail but still took time to put a slip in my mailbox to get the potholes fixed. I went in several time telling them I'm a renter and just need to be able to get my mail due to not being able to come in regularly as I worked at the times they were open. They told me to talk to the landlord. I told them the potholes were very small and gradual (there's a business right across from my house so it gets a bit of traffic, a bit unavoidable) and that this was a bit ridiculous. Not received well. This place operates so weirdly seeing as it's a small town and I would think they would have a greater sense of community and kindness, but no. Very disappointing. :("

"Less than one star. I don't receive mail at my physical address. 2 times I have tried to have these folks intercede when a package sent UPS was given to USPS for delivery. Both times I have been told to go to the post office when tracking says it is at that site. Both times the package is returned to sender. I asked about mail forwarding but was told 'just too much paperwork'.. I really do understand all the negative reviews"
